CHRISTINE ICART

Christine Icart is one of the leading representatives of the French harp school. As a student of prominent harpists of the French school, like Madame Fontan Binoche, Gérard Devos and Marielle Nordmann, she won First Prize at the Paris Conservatoire Supérieur, first Prize in the Lily Laskine International Competition among others. Christine Icart has performed in renowned concert halls such as Gaveau, Radio-France, Théâtre des Champs Elysées, as well as at numerous festivals around the world. A very active chamber musician, she has performed with musicians like Emmanuelle Bertrand, Nemanja Radulovic, Renaud Capuçon, Juliette Hurel, Debussy Quartet, Parisi Quartet & Jean-Pierre Rampal.
Teaching is an important part of her career: she teaches at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique du Pays Basque ‘Musikene’ (ES), as well as at the CRR Rueil Malmaison (FR) and regularly gives masterclasses around the world.

MASUMI NAGASAWA

Masumi Nagasawa (Dr, PhD) is a versatile harpist and a researcher. She studied harp with Phia Berghout in the Netherlands. She was also awarded the Prix d’ Excellence (NL) & the Muramatsu Music Prize Grand Prix (JP). Masumi Nagasawa regularly performs at international Festivals, such as the Kuhmo International Chamber Music Festival, the Salzburg Music Festival, the Geneva Music Festival & the Ittinger Pfingstkonzerte. Besides her broad harp repertoire of classical and modern music, Masumi Nagasawa is an expert on 18th—and 19th-century harp practice, giving master classes in conservatories and universities worldwide. She received her PhD from the University of Leeds, England, in 2018 under the guidance of Prof. Clive Brown. More than 20 albums have been released on labels such as Toshiba EMI Japan, Etcetera, Channel Classics, Globe, Ars and recently by BIS.

ELISABETH PLANK

Vienna Harp Day’s founder Elisabeth Plank is an internationally renowned soloist. Being at home at the stages of the world, she has performed in renowned concert halls and festivals in Europa, Japan and Latin America – such as Musikverein Wien, Konzerthaus Berlin or NOSPR and has released three solo albums. As a soloist, she has appeared with orchestras such as Thüringer Symphoniker, NFM Leopoldinum Orchestra, RSO Wien, Barockensemble der Wiener Symphoniker or Wiener KammerOrchester. Elisabeth Plank is also an experienced pedagogue, passing on her knowledge as lecturer at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and in masterclasses all over the world.
